Official: European trails rolls out the first GFT 2.0 Assessment Training in a leading trail destination in the heart of Europe – Garda Trentino

European Trails launches the first exclusive Green Flag Trails Assessment Training. The training will provide trail professionals in Europe with access to the knowledge and methods required to assess trails according to the Green Flag Trails framework.

European Trails initiated the development of the training. Hartmut Wimmer and Fivos Tsaravopoulos are the creative leads behind the course. Together, they have worked on a programme that combines the international Green Flag Trails framework with the practical requirements of trail assessment and management.

The basis of a reliable trail assessment is a clear and consistent methodology. Assessors must understand how trail management is organised, how responsibilities are assigned and how quality, safety and sustainability are addressed. 

European Trails will organise and coordinate the training courses in Europe. The courses will be delivered in cooperation with trainers recognised by Green Flag Trails, including Fivos Tsaravopoulos from Greece.

The official course dates and locations will be announced shortly on the European Trails website and LinkedIn page. Information about the programme, participation requirements and ticket prices will be published together with the course details.
