Green Flag Trails × European Trails
Green Flag Trails (GFT) is the world’s leading system for certifying the responsible, sustainable management of trails, developed by the World Trails Network. European Trails is the official partner organising GFT Training across Europe.
Green Flag Trails
Sets the global standard for trail assessment and certification — covering trail quality, environmental responsibility, safety, and visitor experience.
European Trails
Organises and delivers the official GFT Training in Europe, in cooperation with trainers recognised by Green Flag Trails.
The Training
The training covers all five GFT assessment categories. For now, it focuses on what a trail organization needs to do to meet Green Flag Trails requirements — it does not yet train participants to evaluate trails independently as certified Assessors.
Ideal for trail managers, park agencies, tourism bodies and community organisations.
