It’s a key goal for us to give the many long-distance trails in Europe greater significance and visibility.

Our idea: a seamless digital trail network for all long-distance hiking trails in Europe, built on a standardized, open data format that goes far beyond map displays like OpenStreetMap. Every daily stage should be digitized in a uniform structure and combined into one cohesive network — usable across all outdoor, mapping, and navigation platforms.

We’ve already compiled the long-distance trails currently available on Outdooractive into a collection. But many trails and connections are still missing, often without daily stages or with insufficient information.
