European Trails envisions a Europe where everyone has access to great trails. Our actions foster knowledge exchange and collaboration among all stakeholders in the trail sector, unifying them to speak with ONE strong voice.
We work on sustainable organizational models and funding structures for trail management organizations, including advocacy for increased financial support at the European level. We are creating a universal trail classification standard that enables all existing standards to be related or translated, helping trail users make informed choices. European Trails sets trail certification standards and prioritizes upgrading existing trails over building new ones.
