We unite European organizations into project groups to fund and implement trail-related projects. Join a group that aligns with your focus to collaborate on key trail management issues, apply for funding, and carry out European projects together.

One of the most important tasks in supporting trail organizations in Europe is funding. We institutionalize the access to existing funding programmes. Join project group(s) that best fit your thematic focus and start collaborating with project partners to finance your trail project.
World Trails Network – Dual membership
European Trails is the European Chapter of the World Trails Network (WTN). The leading global association for hiking trails is dedicated to trails as a crucial part of the overall outdoor infrastructure. We grant our members dual membership both in European Trails and the World Trails Network.
Green Flag Trails
Green Flag Trails is an international standard for the accreditation of hiking trails, which ensures that they are managed sustainably and used in an ecologically responsible manner.
As a member of the WTN Board, European Trails founder Hartmut Wimmer has driven forward the relaunch of the Green Trails certificate.
